A New Company Is Born

The Logan family has always pursued products, goods, and services related to heating and cooling. As a young man learning from his father, Logan Services’ founder gained early knowledge of home appliances and HVAC systems. This led to his interest in starting his own company in 1969. Since then, the Logans have spent a great deal of time helping customers throughout the Miami Valley achieve greater home comfort.

Quality Heating and Cooling Equipment

The team at Logan Services found it important to offer quality, reliable, and durable products. After great research, Trane was chosen as the premier brand offered by Logan Services.

Logan Services is the recipient of many Trane awards, including the SOAR award, the Director's Cup, and the Top 10 Trane Dealer Award.

The Digital Age Arrives

The Logans had always had a keen sense of futuristic customer trends and believed in the digital age from its conception. In 1996, a star was born – our website. No longer would you have to search the streets of Dayton, Ohio, or the Yellow Pages for a heating and air conditioning company, but you could now find the answers you were looking for here on the Logan Services A/C, Heat & Plumbing website.

New Ownership

Around 2002, the Logan family wanted the business to keep growing. They sold the company to the current owner, Jim Meyer, who came from Emerson Climate Technologies. He was new to owning a small business, but heating and cooling felt like home to him. He had a desire not only to maintain, but to grow a business, and a passion to always pursue new opportunities.

Expanding Into More Markets

Things were really rolling with Jim, his family, and the rest of his team involved. In 2005–2006, partners like Trane and big-box home improvement retailers urged us to expand into new service areas. Logan Services began to provide service to homeowners in Columbus in 2006, and continued our fast growth into Cincinnati by the end of 2007.

New Opportunities

Now serving three major U.S. markets, Logan Services A/C, Heat & Plumbing has earned many growth opportunities.
We have expanded with in-house customer service, human resources, marketing, and logistics.
These additions help deliver a dependable, unmatched customer experience. Our team grew from a group of less than 20 employees to more than 200 within the past ten years.

Marketing erupted, and eventually, we became proud sponsors of the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State University Athletics events, and the Dayton Flyers. You may have even seen the Logan Services spokesperson, Amanda Kinsella, on commercials during a newsbreak or sporting event.

As Logan Services grew, adding residential plumbing was a natural next step. It helps us deliver complete home comfort.

With decades of HVAC experience, we offer professional plumbing, too. Homeowners can trust one team for key systems.

Today, we help with water heaters, sewer and drain solutions, and other home plumbing repairs.

We still focus on convenience, reliability, and long-term performance. We proudly serve Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

As Logan Services continued to expand, its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction earned consistent industry and community recognition. We have received multiple honors from Trane, including several SOAR Awards, recognizing excellence in performance, leadership, and customer service. Since 2016, Logan Services in Columbus has repeatedly won CBUS Top Picks for Best Heating and Air Conditioning. Our team has earned multiple Best of Dayton awards for Best HVAC and Best Plumbing from Dayton Magazine. We also received regional honors for Best Heating and AC and Best Plumbing in Cincinnati’s Best awards. These achievements reflect a sustained focus on delivering reliable service and trusted home comfort solutions across Ohio.

Logan Services has also been recognized by the Better Business Bureau for our commitment to ethical business practices and customer trust. Our Dayton location is a proud recipient of the BBB Torch Award for Ethics, an honor given to businesses that demonstrate integrity, transparency, and strong relationships with the communities they serve. This recognition affirms Logan Services’ commitment to ethical, reliable home comfort.

A Commitment To Lifelong Learning

To keep employees performing their best, committed to excellence, and living company values, the team built a training center. This training center would keep employees’ skills fresh and help to continue outstanding customer service. Learning sessions are now held regularly for HVAC and plumbing, with guest speakers visiting to motivate the team.

Our training center is also the first to hold a Trane Accreditation, proving commitment to excellence in HVAC education.

Where Is Logan Services Now?

With over 55 years of business, our vision for the future is to keep that same passion and desire that started this company. Logan Services A/C, Heat & Plumbing began as a family-owned and operated company and still runs as one today.

Jim Meyer’s family is part of the business each day.
His daughters are Ashley Pleiman, our President, and Sandy Heckman, Vice President of Administration.
His sons are Jason Meyer, Market Quality Specialist, and Jordan Meyer, Vice President of Operations.

Logan Services remains focused on a clear commitment that our family is dedicated to keeping yours comfortable.
