At Logan Services, our team enjoys the opportunity to meet homeowners in the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati neighborhoods to help with home heating and cooling needs for the family. During our visits to homes in the area, we often have the pleasure to meet the ‘four-legged’ members of the family as well, which can include some pretty unique pets.
Recently, Brian, one of our Columbus consultants, got to meet a tortoise while assisting with an in-home estimate for HVAC replacement. Being the Trane partner we are, we decided to compare a Trane ac to a tortoise to show you the strength of both.
Slow And Steady Wins The Race
Some Trane air conditioners feature the Trane TruComfort technology, which allows them to run at the precise speed needed to keep up with outside temperatures. This ensures your comfort no matter the conditions. A Trane ac that has variable speed technology, like in the Trane XV20i, allows the air conditioner to intuitively adjust to your heating and cooling needs. This technology allows the compressor, outdoor fan, and indoor fan to vary operating speed and BTU as the temperature outside changes, slowing down or speeding up gradually to keep with the temperature on the thermostat.
How does this compare to a tortoise?
With Trane’s TruComfort technology, your ac will run at the exact speed needed to win the race in-home comfort; a tortoise may be slow, but, as the moral of the classic story goes, you can be more successful by doing things steadily and with purpose than by acting quickly and carelessly.
It’s Hard To Stop A Trane… and a Tortoise
Trane HVAC systems are one of the most reliable systems to have in your home. Trane has more than 120 years of experience in heating and cooling systems that make your home comfortable for every season. Whether you are looking at a Trane two-stage ac, like an XL17i, or a variable speed ac like the XV20i, you will find reliability in the long-lasting Trane system you have installed in your home.
How does this compare to a tortoise?
Like a Trane system, tortoises are reliable in their age. A Trane HVAC system that is installed correctly and maintained should achieve a maximum lifespan for heating/cooling equipment (15-25+ years). Similarly, a tortoise is an animal with one of the longest life spans; some can live to be about 100 years old.
Tranes and Tortoises: Durability to Shell-ebrate
The outside of a Trane ac is built to withstand the toughest conditions. All models are weather-tested for performance in extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. The WeatherGuard II Top & Fasteners provide unstoppable protection from the elements. With this tough shell, this Trane ac will be able to provide comfort for years to come even if the conditions outside are less than ideal.
How does this compare to a tortoise?
Just like a tortoise shell, which is hard, strong, and extremely difficult to crush, a Trane ac is also hard, strong, and able to withstand tough conditions.
Don’t be slow to call us! We are here for all your Trane system needs whether you need maintenance or if you need to replace your old worn-down system with a Trane ac and furnace in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
