With proper installation and maintenance, PEX water lines can last 25-50 years or more. However, factors such as water quality, pressure, and exposure to UV light can impact the lifespan of PEX plumbing.
No, PEX water lines are actually less prone to leaks than copper pipes. PEX’s flexibility allows it to expand and contract with temperature changes, reducing the risk of leaks and bursts. However, leaks can still occur due to improper installation, damage, or fitting failures. Check our blog for efficient copper line solutions.
Yes, PEX supply lines can be used for outdoor applications, such as irrigation systems or outdoor kitchens. Protect the lines from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures by using UV-resistant insulation or burying them below the frost line.

“We had a new furnace, air conditioner, and hot water heater installed. Our home has never been so comfortable. Tyler, Noah, and Max did a wonderful job installing our furnace and air-conditioning unit. Conner installed our hot water heater and was very professional and did a great job. The crew from Logan Services was very respectful and professional. I would highly recommend Logan Services to any of my family and friends.
Thank you to Tyler, Noah, Max, and Conner for all the hard work you did for me and my family.”
“Great service and a great product! Highly recommend! Kyle and Hakim were very friendly and professional!”
“From start to finish, I’m very happy with the entire process and the product.
First, the phone call to Logan Services. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and friendly. Right away, I felt this was a family business (which I like). She took my information and explained the process. She made a GREAT first impression, which is also very important.
Second, the next day, their salesperson, James, came to the house on time. He was actually a bit early, but called first to make sure that was ok. He was the last of the three companies that I obtained quotes from, and I think he was the right balance between technical and explaining things easily. Friendly, sensed he had a vested interest in helping us, whether we went with his company or not. He was a bit higher than a competitor, and I asked him if he could do anything, but he said he put his best foot forward, and I actually respect that. In some regards, I respect that more than if he dropped a few bucks. Within five minutes of him leaving, we felt comfortable with Logan Services and Trane, and I was able to catch him in his car before he pulled away. That was around 4 pm on a Friday afternoon.
On Tuesday, the two installers, Kyle and Jarrett, arrived on time. Very polite, they looked things over, they put pads/rugs down from my door, all the way down the stairs to the basement, and into the unfinished area. I was surprised at the lack of noise; I was expecting it to be louder. They knew I was dreading the day, as it was going to be 95 degrees out and I was working from my home office, which was right next to the front door, and had turned down the AC before they shut everything down. Every single time they went in and out, they closed the door behind them, so that the house would remain as cool as possible. Between that and the lack of noise they made, it made working from home easy and productive for me. When they were done, they showed us how to set up and operate the new thermostat (which is much more sophisticated than a Nest), showed us the furnace and chiller in the basement, and the work they did, as well as the unit outside. When they left and we walked around the house, it was as if they were never there. No garbage at all from the install, not even a piece of paper.
We are really happy with how things went, from the first call through to the completion of the install. While only running a few hours now, it is much quieter than what we had previously, and I’m looking forward to seeing the savings via lower electric bills, as well as greatly reducing the temperature difference between the first and second floors.
I would highly recommend Logan Services to anyone seeking a new, quality AC/Furnace.”
“Fast and professional service technicians that I would highly recommend to anyone needing any heating, air, or plumbing services! I give Logan Services a 5-star recommendation!”
