How Long Does A Furnace Installation Take?

Table of Contents

When your furnace goes out, it’s an uncomfortable situation. Breakdowns and repairs may be delayed due to tight scheduling or a lack of available service technicians. If your furnace is older and has gone through more than three repairs, you may want to consider replacing it before the weather outside gets too cold. At Logan Services, it is our priority to provide fast service, especially during an HVAC replacement

We asked our install supervisor experts to provide some answers about furnace installation

How Long Does It Take To Install A Furnace?

An average furnace installation in Columbus usually takes our installation team about 4 to 5 hours, but installing a complete HVAC system takes about 8 to 10 hours. If we install a furnace in your home, you can expect our installation team to work until 1 to 2 pm if there are no issues. The timeframe changes when we install an entire HVAC system, and you can expect our team to be at your home working until 6 to 7 pm that day.

What We Do During Your Furnace Installation?

Our team will first take out the old equipment, which takes about 1 to 2 hours. Then we begin installing a brand new furnace or HVAC system for your home. After our installation team has fully installed your new furnace, they will test it, making sure all components are working correctly together. The installation team will ensure the natural gas/propane, electric, venting materials, PVC, and sheet metal are all properly installed. We check and adjust the gas pressures to confirm it’s burning correctly. We also take temperature readings to measure the output of heat the furnace is generating. These readings must match the manufacturer’s specifications.

What We Do If We Encounter An Issue?

Even though our team is skilled and properly trained, it’s still possible to run into unexpected problems. Our comfort consultants communicate with our HVAC installers to properly prepare them before they begin each installation. However, while working through a heating and cooling installation, installers may find hidden concerns. If they find an expected problem, they will notify the homeowner and will also contact a supervisor and the consultant to start working on a solution.

The quality of furnace or HVAC installation directly effects the longevity of your heating and cooling system. A proper installation can save a lot of time, headache, and money. The Logan Services team is here for all your replacementrepair, and maintenance needs in DaytonColumbus, and Cincinnati
