From Apprentice To Lead Installer
The Installation Apprenticeship Program is designed to build confident, capable installers through hands-on field experience and structured mentorship. James embraced that approach from day one.

“My experience as an apprentice was both enjoyable and insightful. I had the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills, not only related to HVAC, but also in communication, leadership, and working with customers and coworkers. The apprenticeship was very hands-on, which fits my learning style well, and I believe that approach helped me progress quickly. Being able to learn by doing, rather than just watching, made the work more engaging and allowed me to build confidence in my abilities early on.
Some advice I would give to future apprentices is to approach every job as if your lead technician isn’t there. Take ownership of tasks and practice making decisions on your own. Before starting a task, slow down, think it through, and decide the best course of action instead of just jumping in. Mistakes will happen, and that’s okay. Most things can be fixed or redone. What matters is that you made a decision and learned from it. This builds confidence and trust in yourself, so when you’re out in the field with your instructor or eventually on your own, you’re better prepared to make informed decisions based on real experience.”

Logan Services’ Installation Apprenticeship Program is a structured, paid training program designed to develop skilled HVAC installers. Apprentices earn while they learn through hands-on fieldwork, classroom-style instruction, and one-on-one mentorship with experienced Lead Installers.
