We were so excited to hold our Furnace Giveaway For Flyers Fans this year!
After receiving hundreds of entries from the Flyer Faithful, we held our drawing earlier this month to select a winner to receive a FREE Trane furnace – complete with installation for their Dayton home!
Congratulations to our BIG winners…….. Marcus and Amanda C. from the Dayton/Kettering area!
We learned that Marcus and Amanda met at the University of Dayton where they both attended school. They later married and started a family in their Dayton home. They now have three beautiful children, and like many homeowners in our region, a list of home improvement projects they are preparing to complete in the upcoming years.
After seeing our furnace giveaway on social media, they decided that they would try their luck to win a new home heating system, as their furnace and air conditioner were pushing 18 years old.
In his entry, Marcus shared with us,
“My wife and I have been talking about our next big purchases as homeowners… furnace and roof! Receiving a free furnace would obviously alleviate a humongous expense. Plus we are both UD grads and super UD basketball fans. We met so many great people at UD who are our dear friends to this day. WE LOVE UD, best experience ever! Shoutout to all of our fellow flyers…Flyer Pride Forever! We would be so blessed to win!”
When we reached out to Marcus to let him know that his family had been drawn as the winner of our free furnace, he was so surprised!
We set up a time to visit Marcus and Amanda’s home to prepare for our furnace installation job. During this visit, we learned that their air conditioner was also of replacement age…so, DOUBLE SURPRISE! We decided to provide the family with a new Trane air conditioner as well and scheduled the install for the next week!
The installation of the furnace and air conditioner was completed earlier this week, and the family is now enjoying all of the benefits of their new HVAC system.
Marcus had this to say about their experience winning the Furnace Giveaway For Flyer Fans:
“We were still in shock until it was finally installed today. I mean, this is a big house ownership item that we won. We thought at first we were being pranked. So yes, we were surprised and shocked. And then the addition of the Air Conditioner was just overwhelming.
We are hard-working people who believe you earn what you work for. We are not used to gifts like this, and we are so appreciative. We believe we are good people and truly care for other people. We always want to do for others as much as we can. We will definitely be paying it forward!
