Frequently Asked Questions

What are the factors that determine the cost of A/C installation?

The cost of A/C installation can vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • The size of the air conditioning unit
  • The type of A/C unit
  • The location of the A/C unit
  • Installation complexity
  • Labor costs
How can I reduce A/C installation costs?

Getting multiple bids, checking for available rebates on efficient models, pre-installing electrical upgrades in older homes, avoiding oversizing equipment, and pairing new central air units with updated insulation, windows, and weather stripping provide various ways to minimize expenses when installing cooling systems.

Does Logan Services offer financing?

YES! For customers who qualify, we offer a variety of financing options with approved credit. Logan Services will be happy to help you with the qualification process for credit when we meet with you at your home.

What kind of warranties do you offer on HVAC replacements and installations?

Most of our systems include 10 years parts and 1 year labor warranty. Extended warranties on parts and labor from 2 to 10 years are also available. Each system or combination of units may have different warranty packages available. It is best to consult with a Logan Services’ comfort representative about available warranties.

What time of the year is the best time to replace your furnace?

The ideal time to replace your home’s furnace is in the spring, summer, or early fall when demand is lower so you can get better deals and faster installation. Avoid peak heating season in winter when demand is high.

Should I repair or replace my old furnace?

If your furnace is over 15 years old and repairs exceed 50% of the cost of a new furnace, replacement is likely the better investment. Newer models are much more energy efficient.

How much does air conditioner installation cost for a 2,000-square-foot home?

The cost of air conditioner replacement depends upon the following: AC unit brand, energy efficiency levels, size (in TONS), and seasonal promotions. Even with square footage determined, there are many more details that will impact the size of your air conditioner.

The BTUs (furnace) and tonnage (air conditioner) are pinpointed through professional load calculation that looks at your home layout, windows, insulation, ductwork, etc. to land on the proper equipment capacity needed. A new AC unit, paired with a new furnace for compatibility reasons, could cost anywhere between $5,000 and $15,000+ when the project is all said and done.

Does the size of the A/C unit affect the installation cost?

Not necessarily. The size of the AC unit could affect the installation cost, but this will be specifically determined by the HVAC installing company. Depending on the model of equipment and advanced technology it utilizes, the cost of HVAC system replacement, including installation, will vary.

Do you offer free second opinions on HVAC repair and replacement quotes from other companies?

Yes we do. As part of our Second Opinion program, Logan Services proudly offers free second opinions on HVAC system repairs and replacements.
