Table of Contents

You have called our sales coordination team to schedule your free in-home estimate, and our Comfort Consultant came out to give you your quote. After considering your options, you have decided Logan Services is the perfect company for your HVAC replacement, and you’ve booked your installation date.

So, now what?

We told you what you could do to get your home ready for our installation team, and now we want to share our heating and cooling installation process with you. Read below and listen to our podcast to learn more about our installation process.

We Will Dispatch Your Installers

When we schedule the installation of your new heating and cooling system, you can expect to receive an email and text message from us on the day of your replacement. This message will have the arrival time and a photo of the installers entering your home. We like to let you know that an average job takes about 8 to 10 hours to complete. While we never anticipate issues to occur, it could take us an extra day on the off chance that we do run into any problems throughout the installation process. Our #1 priority is providing you with quality HVAC installation, and if taking additional time to ensure the job is done correctly, we will always do so.

Meet & Greet Our Installation Team

Our installers will arrive and introduce themselves to you. Depending on the size of the job, there could be anywhere from 1 to 3 technicians working in your home. Our team will review the contract with you, look at the area they will be working in for the day, and give you a rundown of what we will be doing throughout the day. We make sure that you understand our process and answer any questions you may have before starting.

We Will Prepare Your Home

The Logan Services team will respect your home and keep it clean as we go in and out during the day. We will lay down drop cloths, wear shoe covers, and have any necessary sanitary equipment. Before starting the installation process, we will get an acknowledgment signature from you which permits us to work in your home. Our installers will check any problem rooms for airflow issues before they begin working.

The HVAC Installation Begins

Our installers will start by tearing out your existing HVAC equipment; expect our team to take the old systems with us to dispose of them properly. Once the old equipment is out, we will begin installing the new air conditioner and furnace. Our installers will work collectively to ensure that your new heating and cooling system is set up correctly and working together to make your home comfortable.

Startup Of The HVAC System

After the thorough installation process, our team will turn on the equipment and test the operation to ensure that the new HVAC system runs properly and meets industry standards. The startup procedure that we follow is extensive; it’s a 4-page process that gets graded for quality assurance. You may see us using several tools throughout the part of the installation, including gauges and a cooling jacket for the outside system.

Explain Thermostat & Heating/Cooling System

Once our installers have confirmed the new system’s correct operation, they will take the time to explain the functions of the new HVAC system. We explain the new Trane Home thermostat’s operation during this conversation, walk you through the Nexia diagnostics, and help you get the thermostat connected with the app on your phone. Plus, we will walk you through any add-ons for your HVAC system, like standard or Perfect Air Plus filters, the APCO UV Light, and the Aprilaire humidifier.

Clean Up Workspace

Now that the HVAC equipment has been installed and we’ve answered all of your questions, it’s time to pack up! Our team will load up the old HVAC system to take with us to be recycled. We will then pick up our tools, scraps, and drop cloths, making sure you don’t have to worry about any cleanup after we leave.

Give Us A Review

Before departing, we will require getting your final signature to make sure you are comfortable with everything and feel that the work has been done correctly. We will leave you with some of that documentation and contact information you should have any further questions after we go. Finally, we will encourage you to leave us an online review! We love it when our customers share their valuable feedback about their experience on popular websites such as GoogleFacebook, and Angie’s List.

Our friendly team is always ready for any of your heating and cooling projects, whether it’s time for an HVAC replacement or you have service or maintenance needs. We are proud to be your preferred HVAC company in DaytonColumbus, and Cincinnati.
