A Thank You To Veteran's! Honoring Vets On Our Team

This Veteran's Day, we want to show our appreciation and honor those who served this country. Not everyone working in HVAC got their start in HVAC; in this blog, we recognize those employees that started on a different path, the military. We want to introduce you to some of the veterans working here at Logan A/C and Heat Services.

Here at Logan Services, we are fortunate enough to be able to work with veterans, and we asked some of them about their experiences, and here's what they said:

Evan R. - Cincinnati Operations Manager at Logan Services

Four years served in the United States Army, 75th Ranger Regiment

What did you learn while serving in the Army?

"Being a part of a Special Operations unit is genuinely something special. The number one thing that is instilled within the fabric of your character is that you must trust that the men in your unit will have your back at all times. I also learned that anything is possible, given the appropriate mindset. One of my favorite mantras that was uttered from our cadre at Ranger Selection is: Your body tells you that it is weak, that is when you tell it that you are not."

What is something you will never forget while serving in the Army?

"The men I served with. We went through the best of times and the worst of times. There were bonds that were formed that will never be broken. I will also never forget the sacrifices that some of the individuals I met along the way. The number one thing that I believe is lost on the vast majority of the population is the number of sacrifices that our servicemen and women make on a routine basis. Obviously, some have paid the ultimate sacrifice standing up for our Nation's freedom, but everyone sacrifices along the way, whether it is deployments, long days, mental struggles, or just the understanding that your life is not your own. The only thing that is consistent while serving our country is sacrifice."

Why do you believe it's important to celebrate Veteran's Day?

"Without the men and women who have paid the ultimate price for freedom, life as we know it would be very different. It is important to understand our Nation's history in conflict and how each conflict has played an integral part in forming the fabric of our society. It is only right that we pay our respects to those who have given their lives or made the sacrifices serving so that we can live ours."

Mike F. - Comfort Consultant at Logan Sevices

Five years served in the United States Navy, from 2009 to 2014.

How did serving in the Navy affect your life and how you live now?

"It turned my life around 100%. There's no way I would be as successful if I didn't join the Navy when I did."

Who do you thank in your life for getting you to this point?

"My father, for sure, he molded me into the man I am today."

Why do you believe it's important to celebrate Veteran's Day?

"A lot of things get sacrificed when you join the military. I think it's good that we all recognize those sacrifices."

James C. - Customer Service Representative at Logan Services

Four years served in the United States Air Force

What is something that you will never forget from your time serving in the Air Force?

"Foot powder is a must for military boots."

How did serving in the Air Force affect your life and how you live now?

"It gave me discipline and maturity to become a well-rounded person."

Why do you believe it's important to celebrate Veteran's Day?

"The Vets should be recognized for the time they put in to protect every American's rights through their sacrifices."

We appreciate and celebrate all of those who have sacrificed and served this country every day, especially on Veteran's Day. Logan Services is proud to have veterans working on our team.
