CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENT: We are so appreciative to everyone who entered our Secret Santa Giveaway this year. We received so many thoughtful entries and nominations for those in need, those who deserve recognition, and those who care for and are cared for dearly by their friends and family.
While we were very excited to play ‘Secret Santa’ for a number of people who entered, nothing warms our hearts more than giving back this holiday season with what we do best: providing and installing a new furnace to a home in need. That being said, we’d like to congratulate our final winners of the Secret Santa Giveaway…
Sherri & Mark N.!
In her entry, Sherri was very kind to share with us about her family. Sherri and her husband Mark have 3 wonderful children. Their daughter, Maggie, is a Psych major at Wright State University. They also have two sons: Spencer, who is in the Ohio Army National Guard, and Morgan, who is also in the Army and actually soon to be deployed to Afghanistan.
When asking what Sherri wanted this Christmas, she tells us that her deepest wish is for “my son to not be deployed, but I know that is beyond Santa’s reach”. Even though her mind has been 100% on her son and family since learning the news of his deployment (never mind the fact that Sherri recently beat thyroid cancer!), she explains to us that her home has a very old furnace that is in desperate need of replacement. An untimely furnace breakdown would be a financial burden that would be difficult to handle. She tells us, “our furnace is very old and will go out soon, and to be honest, I have no idea how we will get a new one”.
Having learned about Sherri, Mark and their family, we knew just how we could help. We called Sherri last week to let her know that we’d be honored to provide her with and install a new Trane furnace in her home – for free – in the hopes to bring some comfort to her family this season. Sherri was very surprised, but so appreciative, for this Christmas gift, and the new furnace was installed in their home just two days later!
From all of us at Logan A/C & Heat Services, we thank and salute your brave sons and your husband Mark for their service to this great country. The courage you have as a mother and a cancer survivor is truly amazing, and we are so honored to have crossed paths with you and your family. We will certainly keep your son, Morgan, as well as all of those serving both at home and overseas in our hearts this holiday season.
